चंडोवाच । उग्रात्प्रतिग्रहाद्यस्माद्बिभ्यत्येते महेश्वराः । बलीयांसो दुर्बलवत्तथा चैव बिभेम्यहम्
caṃḍovāca | ugrātpratigrahādyasmādbibhyatyete maheśvarāḥ | balīyāṃso durbalavattathā caiva bibhemyaham
சண்டன் கூறினான்—கடுமையான (அனுசிதமான) பிரதிக்ரஹத்தினால் மகேஸ்வரரின் மகாபக்தர்களும் அஞ்சுகின்றனர்; வலிமையுடையவர்களாயினும் பலவீனரைப் போல நடுங்குகின்றனர்; ஆகவே நானும் அஞ்சுகிறேன்।
