कश्यप उवाच । अनर्थो ब्राह्मणस्यैष यदर्थनिचयो महान् । अर्थैश्वर्यविमूढोऽपि श्रेयसो भ्रश्यते द्विजः
kaśyapa uvāca | anartho brāhmaṇasyaiṣa yadarthanicayo mahān | arthaiśvaryavimūḍho'pi śreyaso bhraśyate dvijaḥ
காச்யபர் கூறினார்—ஒரு பிராமணன் பெரும் செல்வச் சேர்க்கை செய்வது அவனுக்கே பேராபத்து. செல்வமும் ஐஸ்வர்யமும் மயக்கினால், த்விஜன் ‘ஶ்ரேயஸ்’—உயர்ந்த நன்மை—இலிருந்து வழுவுகிறான்.
