सर्वे विषादमापन्ना बांधवाश्च परे जनाः । अशोभनमिदं वाक्यं कन्यया यत्प्रभाषितम् । इत्युक्त्वा तु गताः सर्वे जननीजनबांधवाः
sarve viṣādamāpannā bāṃdhavāśca pare janāḥ | aśobhanamidaṃ vākyaṃ kanyayā yatprabhāṣitam | ityuktvā tu gatāḥ sarve jananījanabāṃdhavāḥ
அப்போது அவளுடைய உறவினரும் பிறரும் அனைவரும் மனவருத்தத்தில் ஆழ்ந்து— “கன்னி பேசிய இந்தச் சொல் அழகற்றது” என்று கூறினர். இவ்வாறு சொல்லி தாய்வழி மக்களும் உறவினரும் அனைவரும் அங்கிருந்து புறப்பட்டனர்।
