पिता भुंक्ते द्विज करे मुखे भुंक्ते पितामहः । प्रपितामहस्तालुस्थः कण्ठे मातामहः स्मृतः
pitā bhuṃkte dvija kare mukhe bhuṃkte pitāmahaḥ | prapitāmahastālusthaḥ kaṇṭhe mātāmahaḥ smṛtaḥ
தந்தை பிராமணனின் கையிலிருந்து பங்கெடுக்கிறார்; பிதாமகன் அவன் வாயில் பங்கெடுக்கிறார். ப்ரபிதாமகன் அண்ணத்தில் (தாலுவில்) இருப்பதாகவும், மாதாமகன் தொண்டையில் இருப்பதாகவும் ஸ்மிருதி கூறுகிறது।
