तस्य तुष्टो महादेवो वयसोऽन्ते वरं ददौ । परितुष्टोऽस्मि ते मंके ब्रूहि किं करवाणि ते
tasya tuṣṭo mahādevo vayaso'nte varaṃ dadau | parituṣṭo'smi te maṃke brūhi kiṃ karavāṇi te
அவரது தவத்தில் மகிழ்ந்த மகாதேவன் வாழ்நாளின் இறுதியில் வரம் அளித்தான்—“மங்கே, உன்னால் நான் முழுமையாகத் திருப்தியடைந்தேன்; சொல், உனக்காக நான் என்ன செய்ய வேண்டும்?”
