देव्युवाच । कथं स पातकान्मुक्तः कथं पापमभूत्पुरा । कथं तत्स्थापितं लिंगं किंप्रभावं वदस्व मे
devyuvāca | kathaṃ sa pātakānmuktaḥ kathaṃ pāpamabhūtpurā | kathaṃ tatsthāpitaṃ liṃgaṃ kiṃprabhāvaṃ vadasva me
தேவி கூறினாள்—அவன் பாவத்திலிருந்து எவ்வாறு விடுபட்டான்? அந்தப் பாவம் முன்பு எவ்வாறு உண்டாயிற்று? அந்த லிங்கம் எவ்வாறு நிறுவப்பட்டது, அதன் திருப்பெரும் மகிமை என்ன? எனக்குச் சொல்வாயாக।
