शंकर उवाच । मम लिंगं सहस्राक्ष उत्थितं तु पुनःपुनः । वज्रेणाच्छादयत्येव भयेन महता वृतः
śaṃkara uvāca | mama liṃgaṃ sahasrākṣa utthitaṃ tu punaḥpunaḥ | vajreṇācchādayatyeva bhayena mahatā vṛtaḥ
சங்கரன் கூறினான்—“ஓ சஹஸ்ராக்ஷா (இந்திரா), என் லிங்கம் மீண்டும் மீண்டும் உயர்ந்து தோன்றுகிறது; ஆனால் நீ பெரும் அச்சத்தில் மூழ்கி அதை வஜ்ரத்தால் மூடிக்கொண்டே இருக்கிறாய்.”
