वृषो त्सर्गो विशेषेण तत्र कार्यो नरोत्तमैः । सर्वपापविनाशाय पितॄणां प्रीतये प्रिये
vṛṣo tsargo viśeṣeṇa tatra kāryo narottamaiḥ | sarvapāpavināśāya pitṝṇāṃ prītaye priye
அன்பே, அங்கே நரசிறந்தோர் விசேஷமாக வृषோத்ஸர்கம் (காளை தானம்/விடுதலை) செய்ய வேண்டும்—அனைத்துப் பாவநாசத்திற்கும் பித்ருக்களின் பிரீதிக்குமாக।

Merit is perfected by dharmic gifting: acts like vṛṣotsarga at a tīrtha purify the doer and bring benefit to the ancestors.
