ऋते वै कार्तिकीमेकां पूजां सांवत्सरीं तव । करिष्यंति द्विजाः सर्वे सत्येनानेन ते शपे । एतद्बुद्ध्वा न कोपोस्तु हतो हन्ति न संशयः
ṛte vai kārtikīmekāṃ pūjāṃ sāṃvatsarīṃ tava | kariṣyaṃti dvijāḥ sarve satyenānena te śape | etadbuddhvā na kopostu hato hanti na saṃśayaḥ
கார்த்திக மாதத்தில் ஒருமுறை நடைபெறும் ஆண்டு பூஜையைத் தவிர, எல்லா த்விஜர்களும் உன்னைப் பூஜிக்கமாட்டார்கள்—இந்த உண்மையால் உனக்கு நான் சத்தியம் செய்கிறேன். இதை அறிந்து கோபம்கொள்ளாதே; அடிபட்டவன் பதிலடி கொடுப்பான், ஐயமில்லை.
