यदा तु ऋक्षराजेन सोमनाथः प्रति ष्ठितः । तदा ब्रह्मादयो देवाः सर्वे तत्र समागताः । प्रतिष्ठार्थं हि देवस्य शशांकेन निमन्त्रिताः
yadā tu ṛkṣarājena somanāthaḥ prati ṣṭhitaḥ | tadā brahmādayo devāḥ sarve tatra samāgatāḥ | pratiṣṭhārthaṃ hi devasya śaśāṃkena nimantritāḥ
நட்சத்திரங்களின் அரசன் சசாங்கன் (சந்திரன்) சோமநாதனை பிரதிஷ்டை செய்தபோது, பிரம்மா முதலிய எல்லாத் தேவரும் அங்கே கூடினர்—தேவ பிரதிஷ்டைக்காக சந்திரன் அழைத்ததால்।
