தேவி கூறினாள்—ஓ மகாதேவா! ப்ரமிஸ்தத்தில் நிலைத்திருந்த சவிதா (சூரியன்) தன் மாமனாரால், அன்பு மருமகனெனக் கருதி, கத்தி-நுனி போன்ற க்ஷுரதாரையால் அன்புடன் சீவப்பட்டபோது—
