विबुद्धस्त्वथ सप्तम्यां भक्त्या भानुं समर्चयेत् । ब्राह्मणान्भोजयेद्भक्त्या वित्तशाठ्यं विवर्जयेत्
vibuddhastvatha saptamyāṃ bhaktyā bhānuṃ samarcayet | brāhmaṇānbhojayedbhaktyā vittaśāṭhyaṃ vivarjayet
பின்னர் சப்தமித் திதியில் விடியற்காலையில் எழுந்து பக்தியுடன் பானு (சூரியன்) அவரை ஆராதிக்க வேண்டும். மேலும் பக்தியோடு பிராமணர்களுக்கு அன்னம் அளித்து, செல்வ விஷயத்தில் வஞ்சகமும் கஞ்சத்தனமும் விலக்க வேண்டும்.
