ब्राह्मणा जातितः पूज्या वेदाभ्यासात्ततः परम् । ततोर्थं हव्यकव्येषु न निन्द्या ब्राह्मणाः क्वचित्

brāhmaṇā jātitaḥ pūjyā vedābhyāsāttataḥ param | tatorthaṃ havyakavyeṣu na nindyā brāhmaṇāḥ kvacit

பிராமணர்கள் பிறப்பால் வணக்கத்தக்கவர்; வேதப் பயிற்சியால் இன்னும் உயர்ந்தவர்; ஆகவே ஹவ்ய-கவ்யம் எனும் தேவர்-பித்ரு அர்ப்பணங்களில் பிராமணரை எங்கும் இகழக் கூடாது।
