अतीताः कथिताः सर्वे वाराहो वर्त्ततेऽधुना । प्रतिपद्ब्रह्मणो यत्र वाराहेणोद्धृता मही
atītāḥ kathitāḥ sarve vārāho varttate'dhunā | pratipadbrahmaṇo yatra vārāheṇoddhṛtā mahī
கடந்த கல்பங்கள் அனைத்தும் கூறப்பட்டன; இப்போது வாராஹ-கல்பம் நடக்கிறது. அது பிரம்மனின் மாதத்தின் பிரதிபதை; அதில் வராஹன் பூமியை உயர்த்தினான்.
