ईश्वर उवाच । परमायुः स्मृतो ब्रह्मा परार्द्धं तस्य वै गतम् । प्रभासक्षेत्रसंस्थस्य द्वितीयं भवतेऽधुना
īśvara uvāca | paramāyuḥ smṛto brahmā parārddhaṃ tasya vai gatam | prabhāsakṣetrasaṃsthasya dvitīyaṃ bhavate'dhunā
ஈஸ்வரன் கூறினார்— பிரம்மாவின் ஆயுள் உச்சமானது என ஸ்மிருதிகளில் கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது; அதில் ஒரு பரார்த்தம் நிச்சயமாகக் கடந்துவிட்டது. பிரபாச-க்ஷேத்திரத்தில் நிலைபெற்ற பிரம்மாவுக்கு இப்போது இரண்டாம் பாதி நடைபெறுகிறது।
