चन्द्रशर्मोवाच । के यूयं विकृताकारा जंतूनां च भयानकाः । पृथ्वीसमुद्भवा जीवा न दृष्टा न श्रुता मया
candraśarmovāca | ke yūyaṃ vikṛtākārā jaṃtūnāṃ ca bhayānakāḥ | pṛthvīsamudbhavā jīvā na dṛṣṭā na śrutā mayā
சந்திரசர்மன் கூறினான்—விகாரமான உருவமுடையவர்களே, உயிர்களுக்கு அச்சமூட்டுவோரே, நீங்கள் யார்? நீங்கள் பூமியிலிருந்து தோன்றிய உயிர்களைப் போலத் தெரிகிறீர்கள்; ஆனால் உங்களை நான் கண்டதுமில்லை, கேட்டதுமில்லை।
