उपायं च करिष्यामि येनायं न भवे दिति । ततः स जीवितं प्राप्य प्रसादाच्छंकरस्य च । चर्मखङ्गमथादाय तिष्ठतिष्ठेति चाब्रवीत्
upāyaṃ ca kariṣyāmi yenāyaṃ na bhave diti | tataḥ sa jīvitaṃ prāpya prasādācchaṃkarasya ca | carmakhaṅgamathādāya tiṣṭhatiṣṭheti cābravīt
இவன் இனி திதிக்குப் பயங்கரனாக ஆகாதபடி நான் ஒரு வழி செய்வேன். பின்னர் சங்கரனின் அருளால் உயிர் பெற்றவன் தோற்கவசமும் வாளும் எடுத்துக் கொண்டு—“நில்! நில்!” என்று கூவினான்.
