rathamāruhya vegena yayau yoddhumariṃdamaḥ | saṃsmṛtya manasā devaṃ pinākiṃ vṛṣabhadhvajam

பகைவரை அடக்கும் வீரன் தேரில் ஏறி வேகமாகப் போருக்கு சென்றான்; மனத்துள் பினாகம் தாங்கி, ரிஷபக் கொடியுடைய தேவன் (சிவன்) நினைவைத் தழுவினான்.
