सारथेस्तु शिरः कायादर्द्धचंद्रेण पत्त्रिणा । चिच्छेद धनुरेकेन ध्वजमेकेन चिच्छिदे
sārathestu śiraḥ kāyādarddhacaṃdreṇa pattriṇā | ciccheda dhanurekena dhvajamekena cicchide
அரைக்கதிர் வடிவ அம்பால் சாரதியின் தலையை உடலிலிருந்து துண்டித்தான்; ஒரு அம்பால் வில்லையும், இன்னொரு அம்பால் கொடியையும் வெட்டினான்.
