उपवासो बलाज्जातो ह्यन्नाभावाद्वयोरपि । पद्मैरेभिर्हरः पूज्यो द्वाभ्यामेवाद्य निश्चयम्
upavāso balājjāto hyannābhāvādvayorapi | padmairebhirharaḥ pūjyo dvābhyāmevādya niścayam
நமக்கு இருவருக்கும் உணவு இல்லாமையால் கட்டாயமாக இந்த உபவாசம் ஏற்பட்டது. ஆகவே இன்று உறுதியாக இத்தாமரைகளாலேயே நாம் இருவரும் ஹரன் (சிவன்) ஐ வழிபடுவோம்.
