नारीयं मम साध्वी च प्राणेभ्योऽपि गरीयसी । मच्चित्ता मद्गतप्राणा नित्यं मम हिते रता । अनया चिंतितं ब्रह्मन्सर्वं विस्तरतो वद
nārīyaṃ mama sādhvī ca prāṇebhyo'pi garīyasī | maccittā madgataprāṇā nityaṃ mama hite ratā | anayā ciṃtitaṃ brahmansarvaṃ vistarato vada
இந்த என் சாத்வி பெண்—மனைவி—எனக்கு உயிரைவிடவும் அருமை. அவளின் மனம் என்னிடமே நிலைத்தது; அவளின் உயிரும் என்னிடமே அர்ப்பணிக்கப்பட்டது; எப்போதும் என் நலனிலேயே ஈடுபட்டிருப்பாள். ஓ பிராமணரே, அவள் எண்ணியதனை எல்லாம் விரிவாகச் சொல்லுங்கள்.
