पूर्वं भक्त्या विहीनस्य शुना वै सक्तवो हृताः । तत्प्रभावादियं प्राप्तिर्मम जाता द्विजोत्तमाः
pūrvaṃ bhaktyā vihīnasya śunā vai saktavo hṛtāḥ | tatprabhāvādiyaṃ prāptirmama jātā dvijottamāḥ
முன்பு நான் பக்தியற்றவனாக இருந்தபோது, ஒரு நாய் என் சக்து (நைவேத்யம்) எடுத்துச் சென்றது; அந்த நிகழ்வின் சக்தியாலேயே, ஓ த்விஜோத்தமர்களே, எனக்கு இப்பெறுதல் வந்தது।
