ध्वजं चिच्छेद चैकेन ततोऽन्येन हृदि क्षतः । स गात्रविद्धो व्यथितो ध्वजयष्टिं समाश्रितः
dhvajaṃ ciccheda caikena tato'nyena hṛdi kṣataḥ | sa gātraviddho vyathito dhvajayaṣṭiṃ samāśritaḥ
ஒரு அம்பினால் அவள் அவனது கொடியை அறுத்து, மற்றொன்றால் அவன் நெஞ்சில் காயப்படுத்தினாள். உடல் முழுவதும் துளைக்கப்பட்டு வலியால் துடித்த அவன் கொடிக்கம்பத்தைப் பற்றிக்கொண்டான்.
