एते च वांछते नित्यं तक्षको द्विज कुण्डले । स तथेति समादाय विस्मयोत्फुल्ललोचनः । कौतुकात्पुनरागत्य राजानं वाक्यमब्रवीत्
ete ca vāṃchate nityaṃ takṣako dvija kuṇḍale | sa tatheti samādāya vismayotphullalocanaḥ | kautukātpunarāgatya rājānaṃ vākyamabravīt
“ஓ த்விஜா, தக்ஷக நாகன் இந்தக் குண்டலங்களை எப்போதும் விரும்புகிறான்.” என்று கூறி ‘அப்படியே’ என அவன் அவற்றை எடுத்தான்; வியப்பால் அவன் கண்கள் விரிந்தன. பின்னர் ஆர்வத்தால் மீண்டும் வந்து அரசனிடம் இவ்வார்த்தைகளைச் சொன்னான்.
