इन्द्र उवाच । भगवन्पुण्यमाहात्म्यं श्रोतुमिच्छामि सांप्रतम् । प्रमाणं चैव सर्वेषां कृतादीनां पृथग्विधम्
indra uvāca | bhagavanpuṇyamāhātmyaṃ śrotumicchāmi sāṃpratam | pramāṇaṃ caiva sarveṣāṃ kṛtādīnāṃ pṛthagvidham
இந்திரன் கூறினான்—ஓ பகவான்! இப்போது புண்ணியத்தின் மாஹாத்மியத்தை நான் கேட்க விரும்புகிறேன்; மேலும் க்ருதம் முதலான எல்லா யுகங்களின் தனித்தனியான அளவுகளையும் அறிய விரும்புகிறேன்.
