प्रोक्तं च कार्तिके मासि कृत्तिकास्थे निशाकरे । सम्यग्भीष्मव्रतं कृत्वा स्नात्वात्र सलिले शुभे
proktaṃ ca kārtike māsi kṛttikāsthe niśākare | samyagbhīṣmavrataṃ kṛtvā snātvātra salile śubhe
கார்த்திக மாதத்தில் சந்திரன் கிருத்திகா நட்சத்திரத்தில் இருக்கும் போது, முறையாக பீஷ்மவிரதம் செய்து இங்குள்ள இந்நல்ல நீரில் ஸ்நானம் செய்ய வேண்டும் என்று கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது।
