sūta uvāca | eṣā tapomayī śaktirambāvṛddhā sureśvarī | yathātra saṃsthitā pūrvaṃ tatsarvaṃ śrūyatāṃ mama
சூதர் கூறினார்—இவள் தவமயமான சக்தி; அம்பாவிருத்தா, தேவேஸ்வரி. பழங்காலத்தில் இங்கு எவ்வாறு நிறுவப்பட்டாளோ, அதனை எல்லாம் என்னிடமிருந்து கேளுங்கள்.
