ततो मयाऽखिला भूमिस्तद्वरार्थं विलोकिता । न तदर्थं वरो लब्धः सर्वैः समुचितो गुणैः
tato mayā'khilā bhūmistadvarārthaṃ vilokitā | na tadarthaṃ varo labdhaḥ sarvaiḥ samucito guṇaiḥ
அப்போது அத்தகைய மணமகனைத் தேடி நான் முழு பூமியையும் ஆராய்ந்தேன்; ஆனால் அந்த நோக்கத்திற்கு ஏற்ற, எல்லா உரிய நற்குணங்களும் உடைய ஒருவரையும் பெறவில்லை।
