। अथ सुपर्णाख्यमाहात्म्यं भविष्यंति । ऋषय ऊचुः । यदेतद्भवता प्रोक्तं तेजोवीर्यसमन्वितः । गरुडस्तेन संजज्ञे मुनीनां होमकर्मणा

Transliteration

| atha suparṇākhyamāhātmyaṃ bhaviṣyaṃti | ṛṣaya ūcuḥ | yadetadbhavatā proktaṃ tejovīryasamanvitaḥ | garuḍastena saṃjajñe munīnāṃ homakarmaṇā

Translation

இப்போது ‘சுபர்ண’ எனப்படும் மாஹாத்மியத்தை அருளிச் சொல்லுங்கள். ரிஷிகள் கூறினர்—நீங்கள் சொன்னபடி, ஒளிமிகு தேஜஸும் வீரியமும் உடைய கருடன் முனிவர்களின் ஹோமகர்மத்தால் பிறந்தான்; அதைத் தெளிவாகக் கேட்க விரும்புகிறோம்.
