सा वव्रे मम पुत्रोऽस्तु भगवंस्त्वत्प्रसादतः । शूरः शस्त्रैरवध्यश्च विप्रदानवरूपधृक्
sā vavre mama putro'stu bhagavaṃstvatprasādataḥ | śūraḥ śastrairavadhyaśca vipradānavarūpadhṛk
அவள் வரம் வேண்டினாள்—“பகவனே, உமது அருளால் எனக்கு ஒரு மகன் பிறக்கட்டும்; அவன் வீரனாகவும், ஆயுதங்களால் அழிக்க இயலாதவனாகவும், பிராமணன் மற்றும் தானவன்—இரு வடிவங்களையும் ஏற்க வல்லவனாகவும் இருக்கட்டும்.”
