सूत उवाच । तेषां तद्वचनं श्रुत्वा ब्राह्मणास्ते परस्परम् । मन्त्रं चक्रुस्तदर्थं हि किं कृतं सुकृतं भवेत्
sūta uvāca | teṣāṃ tadvacanaṃ śrutvā brāhmaṇāste parasparam | mantraṃ cakrustadarthaṃ hi kiṃ kṛtaṃ sukṛtaṃ bhavet
சூதர் கூறினார்—அவர்களின் சொற்களை கேட்ட அந்தப் பிராமணர்கள் ஒருவருடன் ஒருவர் ஆலோசித்து, அந்தக் காரியத்தில் எந்தச் செயல் செய்தால் உண்மையான சுக்ருதம் ஆகும் என சிந்தித்தனர்।
