भीष्म उवाच । उपपन्नमिदं विष्णो यत्त्वया व्याहृतं वचः । परं शृणुष्व मे वाक्यं यदर्थं ह्युत्सुका वयम्
bhīṣma uvāca | upapannamidaṃ viṣṇo yattvayā vyāhṛtaṃ vacaḥ | paraṃ śṛṇuṣva me vākyaṃ yadarthaṃ hyutsukā vayam
பீஷ்மர் கூறினார்—ஓ விஷ்ணுவே! நீங்கள் உரைத்த சொல் முற்றிலும் பொருத்தமானதே. இப்போது என் சொல்லைக் கேளுங்கள்—எதற்காக நாங்கள் உண்மையிலேயே ஆவலுற்றுள்ளோம் என்பதைக் கூறுகிறேன்.
