ततस्ते ब्राह्मणास्तत्र संहृष्टा वरमुत्तमम् । ददुस्तस्य स च प्राह मन्नामैतत्पुरोत्तमम् । सदैव ख्यातिमायातु एतन्मे हृदि वांछितम्
tataste brāhmaṇāstatra saṃhṛṣṭā varamuttamam | dadustasya sa ca prāha mannāmaitatpurottamam | sadaiva khyātimāyātu etanme hṛdi vāṃchitam
அப்போது அங்கிருந்த பிராமணர்கள் மகிழ்ந்து அவனுக்கு உயர்ந்த வரத்தை அளித்தனர். அவன் கூறினான்—“இந்த சிறந்த நகரம் என் பெயரால் அழைக்கப்படுக; இது என்றும் புகழ் பெறுக—இதுவே என் உள்ளத்தின் விருப்பம்.”
