स्कन्द उवाच । हिताय सर्वलोकानां मयैतत्समनुष्ठितम् । यद्धतो दानवो रौद्रो नान्यथा द्विजसत्तमाः
skanda uvāca | hitāya sarvalokānāṃ mayaitatsamanuṣṭhitam | yaddhato dānavo raudro nānyathā dvijasattamāḥ
ஸ்கந்தன் கூறினான்— “அனைத்து உலகங்களின் நலனுக்காகவே நான் இதைச் செய்தேன்—அந்த கொடிய தானவனை வதைத்தேன். ஓ த்விஜசிரேஷ்டர்களே, இது வேறுவிதமாக இயலாது.”
