स दृष्ट्वा स्वाश्रमं ध्वस्तं पुलिन्दैर्बहुशो वृतम् । लकुटाश्मप्रहारैस्तु तां धेनुं जर्जरीकृताम्
sa dṛṣṭvā svāśramaṃ dhvastaṃ pulindairbahuśo vṛtam | lakuṭāśmaprahāraistu tāṃ dhenuṃ jarjarīkṛtām
அவன் தன் ஆசிரமம் அழிந்ததையும், பல புலிந்தர்கள் எல்லாப் புறமும் சூழ்ந்ததையும் கண்டான்; மேலும் குச்சிகளும் கற்களும் அடித்ததால் அந்தத் தேனு சிதைந்ததையும் கண்டான்।
