तव संलप्स्यते पुत्रो यथोक्तः शूलपाणिना । परं तन्मृत्युजं दुःखं त्वं शिशुत्वेपि लप्स्यसे

Transliteration

tava saṃlapsyate putro yathoktaḥ śūlapāṇinā | paraṃ tanmṛtyujaṃ duḥkhaṃ tvaṃ śiśutvepi lapsyase

Translation

சூலபாணி (சிவன்) கூறியபடியே உனக்கு மகன் நிச்சயம் பிறப்பான்; ஆனால் மரணத்தால் உண்டாகும் கடும் துயரை அவன் சிறுவனாக இருக்கும்போதே நீ அனுபவிப்பாய்।
