ṛṣaya ūcuḥ | prāyaścittaṃ samādiṣṭaṃ mahāmāṃsasya bhakṣaṇāt | pratigrahasya bhūpālā dāpatkāle'pi no nṛpa

ரிஷிகள் கூறினர்—“பெருமாம்சம் உண்டதற்குப் பிராயச்சித்தம் விதிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது; மேலும், அரசே, ஆபத்துக் காலத்திலும் எங்களுக்கு பிரதிக்ரஹம் (தானம் ஏற்றல்) உரியதல்ல.”
