प्राप्तो महेश्वरस्तस्य कोऽपि तत्र धनी द्रुतम् । तेनोक्तं प्रणिपत्योच्चैः करिष्यामि पवित्रकम्
prāpto maheśvarastasya ko'pi tatra dhanī drutam | tenoktaṃ praṇipatyoccaiḥ kariṣyāmi pavitrakam
அப்போது ஒரு செல்வந்தன் விரைவாக அங்கே மகேஸ்வரன் (சிவன்) அருகே வந்தான். சாஷ்டாங்கமாக வணங்கி உரக்கச் சொன்னான்— “நான் பவித்ரக விரதத்தைச் செய்வேன்.”
