dvātriṃśaddhayamukhyānāṃ caturviṃśatiḥ kharoṣṭrayoḥ | ajānāṃ ṣoḍaśa proktaṃ śunāṃ dvādaśasaṃkhyayā

குதிரை முதலியவற்றின் ஆயுள் முப்பத்திரண்டு ஆண்டுகள் எனக் கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது; கழுதை மற்றும் ஒட்டகத்திற்கு இருபத்திநான்கு; ஆடுகளுக்கு பதினாறு; நாய்களுக்கு பன்னிரண்டு ஆண்டுகள் என நிர்ணயிக்கப்பட்டது।
