यम उवाच । तीर्थयात्रापरो नित्यं देवतातिथिपूजकः । ब्रह्मण्यश्च शरण्यश्च न याति नरकं नरः
yama uvāca | tīrthayātrāparo nityaṃ devatātithipūjakaḥ | brahmaṇyaśca śaraṇyaśca na yāti narakaṃ naraḥ
யமன் கூறினான்—எவன் எப்போதும் தீர்த்தயாத்திரையில் ஈடுபட்டு, தேவதைகளைப் பூஜித்து, அதிதிகளைச் சத்கரித்து, பிராமணநிஷ்டனாகவும் பிறர்க்கு அடைக்கலமாவானோ—அவன் நரகத்திற்குச் செல்லான்।
