duṣkaraṃ durlabhaṃ loke cāturmāsye makhādhikam | divasedivase tasya yajñāyutaphalaṃ smṛtam

இது உலகில் கடினமும் அரிதுமானது; சாத்துர்மாஸ்ய காலத்தில் யாகங்களையும் மிஞ்சியது. நாள்தோறும் இதன் பலன் பத்தாயிரம் யாகப் பலனுக்கு இணை எனச் சொல்லப்படுகிறது।
