पित्र्ये यदास्थितश्चेन्दुर्हंसश्चापि करे स्थितः । तिथिर्वैश्रवणी या च सा च्छाया कुञ्जरस्य च
pitrye yadāsthitaścendurhaṃsaścāpi kare sthitaḥ | tithirvaiśravaṇī yā ca sā cchāyā kuñjarasya ca
சந்திரன் பித்ரு-நட்சத்திரத்தில் நிலைத்து, ‘ஹம்ஸ’மும் ‘கர’த்தில் நிலைத்திருக்கும் போது, ‘வைஷ்ரவணீ’ எனப்படும் அந்தத் திதியும் யானையின் ‘நிழல்’ என அறியப்பட வேண்டும்.
