सूत उवाच । मृकण्डाख्यो द्विजश्रेष्ठ आसीद्वेदविदां वरः । चमत्कारपुराभ्याशेवानप्रस्याश्रमे स्थितः
sūta uvāca | mṛkaṇḍākhyo dvijaśreṣṭha āsīdvedavidāṃ varaḥ | camatkārapurābhyāśevānaprasyāśrame sthitaḥ
சூதர் கூறினார்—ம்ருகண்டு என்னும் ஒரு சிறந்த பிராமணர் இருந்தார்; வேதம் அறிந்தோரில் அவர் தலைசிறந்தவர். அவர் சமத்காரபுரத்திற்கு அருகே வானப்ரஸ்த ஆசிரமத்தில் வாழ்ந்தார்.
