षष्ठान्नकालभोज्यस्य व्रतचर्यारतस्य च । एवं तस्याऽपि संस्थस्य गतः कालो महान्मुने । न च तुष्यति देवेश स्ताभ्यां द्वाभ्यां कथञ्चन
ṣaṣṭhānnakālabhojyasya vratacaryāratasya ca | evaṃ tasyā'pi saṃsthasya gataḥ kālo mahānmune | na ca tuṣyati deveśa stābhyāṃ dvābhyāṃ kathañcana
அவர் ஆறாம் அன்னகாலத்தில் மட்டுமே உண்பவராகவும், விரத-சரியைகளில் மகிழ்வோராகவும் இருந்தார்; ஓ மகாமுனியே, இவ்வாறு தவத்தில் நிலைத்து நீண்ட காலம் சென்றபோதும், தேவேசன் அந்த இரண்டினாலே மட்டும் எவ்விதத்திலும் திருப்தியடையவில்லை।
