Ṛṣayaḥ (the sages)
Tirtha: Hāṭakeśvara-kṣetra
Type: kshetra
Listener: Sūta-putra (Sauti)
Scene: The sages speak in unison, acknowledging the narrator as ‘Sūta’s son,’ with hands joined; behind them, symbolic markers of Hāṭakeśvara-kṣetra—Śiva-liṅga shrine, tīrtha steps, and pilgrims—appear as a vignette.
Reverent listening (śravaṇa) to tīrtha-māhātmya is itself a dharmic act, honoring the sanctity of place and tradition.
Hāṭakeśvara-kṣetra is the focal sacred region being discussed.
No direct prescription; it acknowledges that the tīrthas of Hāṭakeśvara-kṣetra have been described (implying snāna/darśana in them).
