अतिमानादतिक्रोधात्स्नेहाद्वा यदि वा भयात् । प्रायश्चित्तमनर्हं तु ददत्तत्पापमश्नुते
atimānādatikrodhātsnehādvā yadi vā bhayāt | prāyaścittamanarhaṃ tu dadattatpāpamaśnute
அதிக அகந்தை, மிகுந்த கோபம், பாசம் அல்லது பயம் காரணமாக—தகுதியில்லாதவருக்கு பிராயச்சித்தம் விதிப்பவன், அதே பாவத்தைத் தானே அடைகிறான்.
