ब्राह्मणा ऊचुः । यदि त्वं भोक्तुकामस्तु समायातो व्रज द्रुतम् । एतस्यां सत्रशालायां भुञ्जते यत्र तापसाः । दीनान्धाः कृपणाश्चैव ततः क्षुत्क्षामकंठिताः
brāhmaṇā ūcuḥ | yadi tvaṃ bhoktukāmastu samāyāto vraja drutam | etasyāṃ satraśālāyāṃ bhuñjate yatra tāpasāḥ | dīnāndhāḥ kṛpaṇāścaiva tataḥ kṣutkṣāmakaṃṭhitāḥ
பிராமணர்கள் கூறினர்—நீ உணவு விருப்பத்துடன் வந்திருந்தால் விரைவாகச் செல். இந்த சத்ரசாலையில் தபஸ்விகள் உண்பதுபோலவே, ஏழைகள், குருடர்கள், வறியவர்களும்—பசியால் தொண்டை வறண்டு தளர்ந்தவர்களாய்—உண்கின்றனர்.
