विदूरथो नरेन्द्रोऽहं क्षुत्पिपासातिपीडितः । मृगलिप्सुरिह प्राप्तो वने जन्तुविवर्जिते
vidūratho narendro'haṃ kṣutpipāsātipīḍitaḥ | mṛgalipsuriha prāpto vane jantuvivarjite
“நான் நரேந்திரன் விதூரதன்; பசி, தாகம் மிகுந்த துன்பம் தருகின்றன. வேட்டையாடும் ஆசையால் உயிரினங்கள் இல்லாத இந்தக் காட்டிற்கு வந்தேன்.”
