अहमासं पुरा कन्या पुरे कुसुमसंज्ञिते । वीरसेनस्य शूद्रस्य वणिक्पुत्रस्य धीमतः । तेन दत्ताऽस्मि धर्मेण विवाहार्थं महात्मना
ahamāsaṃ purā kanyā pure kusumasaṃjñite | vīrasenasya śūdrasya vaṇikputrasya dhīmataḥ | tena dattā'smi dharmeṇa vivāhārthaṃ mahātmanā
முன்னொரு காலத்தில் ‘குசும’ எனப்படும் நகரத்தில் நான் ஒரு கன்னியாக இருந்தேன். வணிகக் குலத்தில் பிறந்து சூத்ர நிலையுடைய ஞானி வீரசேனனுக்கு, அந்த மகாத்மா தர்மப்படி திருமணத்திற்காக என்னை அளித்தார்.
