श्रावणे तु कदंबेन पूजनं तीक्ष्णदीधितेः । नैवेद्ये मोदकाश्चैव तगरं धूप माददेत्
śrāvaṇe tu kadaṃbena pūjanaṃ tīkṣṇadīdhiteḥ | naivedye modakāścaiva tagaraṃ dhūpa mādadet
ஸ்ராவண மாதத்தில் கூர்மையான கதிர்கள் உடைய (சூரியன்) அவரை கடம்ப மலர்களால் வழிபட வேண்டும். நைவேத்யமாக மோதகங்களை அர்ப்பணித்து, தூபமாக தகரத்தை எடுத்துக்கொள்ள வேண்டும்.
